Loretto
Description
Since 1926, Loretto has been committed to caring for older adults, and our mission is to improve the quality of life for older adults in Central New York. Loretto is a special place, inviting residents, families, staff, and volunteers of all ages and backgrounds.
What makes us unique:
Community - We believe quality care is the product of quality relationships. We’ve been building those relationships in the Central New York community for nearly a century. Our programs, like our commitment, reach deep into the community, and serve adults of all ages, with a focus on transforming elder care.
Vision - We're shaping a future now based on being an innovative elder care provider informed by a holistic, person-first philosophy that attends to the physical, mental and spiritual needs of those entrusted to our care. Our vision is to transform elder care in Central New York.
Person-First Care - We define care as seeing the person first. Seeing them as the individual they are by knowing their story, what gives them joy, hope and purpose.

Melissa is the Nurse Manager on the 7th floor at The Commons on St. Anthony, and she has been with us at Loretto for about a year. The flexibility of scheduling is what brought her to Loretto, and she has loved it ever since, “I feel honored to work here. This isn’t just a job to me, I work in someone’s home and it is important to treat it as such. I have gained the trust of the residents and their families, and that is something I’m really proud of.” Thank you, Melissa, for all that you do and for being part of the Loretto family!
