#Throwback to last week when our Water Resources staff toured the Hexion facility to see improvements they made along the Willamette River. The area behind their buildings used to be full of invasive plants (blackberry and ivy) but over the past few years, they have worked with Northwest Youth Corps to remove the invasive plants and plant hundreds of native plants. They also installed bird houses and a habitat for mining bees. So cool. It just goes to show what the dedication of a few employees can accomplish and how a large business can take action to protect our local waterways!
