As we close out 2017, it’s worth looking at some of the highlights from the year for the Ellis cardiology team. Here’s a short list: * Rated a “High Performer” by U.S. News & World Report on its Heart Failure Scorecard. * Named among the top hospitals in the nation with the lowest heart attack readmission rates (Becker’s Hospital Review) * Recognized by American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline program for excellence in improving patient care quality. * Earned national accreditation for Echocardiography (earning the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission’s “seal of approval” is an indicator of consistent, quality care) * Earned distinguished 3-star rating (highest category) from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons for patient care and outcomes for isolated coronary artery bypass grafting procedures. 3-star rating places Ellis among the elite for heart bypass surgery in the U.S. and Canada. We also celebrated the opening of A2 -- a new $19 million state-of-the-art center designed to provide patients with greater comfort and convenience, along with expanded and enhanced cardiac and vascular treatment options. Just a few highlights, and a reflection of Ellis’ dedication to continuously improving patient care. Here's to a big year, and an even bigger 2018.

After giving birth on New Year's Eve, 12 months ago, Elizabeth gave birth to triplets on Nov. 15 at Bellevue Woman's Center in Niskayuna."
