We will be opening back up Tuesday morning at 8 am... do yourself a favor and book an appointment to get those shoulders recovered post Murph!!!

Plan accordingly guys! Make sure you get in to take care of that body before and after you put it through Murph! This is an amazing opportunity to honor a fallen hero! Unfortunately it is also an opportunity to damage your body. I destroyed my shoulder 3 years ago in Murph, took a long time to rehab and get it healthy again. Make sure you get to the box, warm it up properly, get your shoulders ready, and properly cool down after! Happy Memorial Day all!

Hello all! For those who do not know, I am Joseph Maltese, a chiropractor who specializes in functional movements and soft tissue /overuse injuries (know anyone who overuses their bodies ;)) Anyways, the reason i am posting this is because I want to put together a small video series of movements that we see limitations with and the ways we can limit that becoming an injury. For example the squat, when that limitation is ignored and we continue to do it improperly, we see breakdown i.e low back and hip pain. I am looking for some volunteers to go through a full functional evaluation, be assessed for these dysfunctions or deficiencies and then go through mobility exercises, soft tissue work and track the improvement. We are coaches and part owners at CrossFit StPete and treat many of the coaches and athletes from OTF and Crossfit in the area so we know a thing or two about these limitations and how to improve them. This would be at no charge to the athlete and would lead to prolonged improvement in their health. This video WILL be posted to our website / Facebook page / Instagram story Primal Performance Spine and Sport This is only applicable for someone who hs not been seen in the office before today. Message me with any questions or for more information. Thanks all!

The healthiest movement when done properly... when a neutral spine is maintained, and the posterior chain is engaged, the deadlift will strengthen your back to a great degree. Deficit deadlifts and working in the eccentric contraction or the “negative” is also very important to build strength. How do you guys feel about deadlifts?
