DRUM Lessons with Billy Ashbaugh

Drum Lessons now offered by touring/recording drummer Billy Ashbaugh. Amazing facility with two studio rooms designed for beginners to advanced students. Only $20 per 1/2 hour. Drums done right! I'm very excited to finally have the ultimate teaching environment!! There are two studios used for lessons that are designed to accommodate any student from beginner to advanced. Each studio contains state of art, high quality equipment.
Studio A is equipped with two drum sets that have soundoff pads on the drums and cymbals to help reduce the overall sound volume. Many beginner students really excel in this type of setting. This is a great place for just getting started on basic co-ordination between limbs needed for drum set playing. Studio A also has a "Pad Station" where we can focus on the basics of stick control and grip.
Studio B is equipped with two drum sets without any muffling. Both kits have a full microphone set up and the students use isolation headphones that allow them to hear the drums through the mixer without damaging their hearing. This the perfect place for the more advanced students to explore the sound and characteristics of actual acoustic drums. We can discuss tuning, mic placement, along with developing overall musicality through touch and dynamics.
