The historic Rochester Opera House is a 700-seat live theater in the heart of downtown Rochester, NH, with a full performance season. The historic Rochester Opera House, a not-for-profit organization, presents an annual performance season of shows for children, teens, adults, and seniors. Built within City Hall in 1908, this beautifully restored theater is the only remaining theater in the world with a unique mechanism that raises the orchestra floor at an incline for amphitheater seating and levels the floor for dancing.
Our mission is to educate, engage, empower, challenge, and inspire a community of all ages by presenting extraordinary and culturally diverse theatre, performance art, music, dance, and film on the city’s foremost performing arts stage. As we preserve our vibrant historic theater for future generations, we embrace the integration of a broad arts culture in our community. Through the cultivation of new performers, diversity of shows, and innovative arts education programs developed with an “ARTS FOR ALL” philosophy, we bring the incredible power of the arts to the widest possible audience.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Rochester Opera House presents MICRO CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING on Saturday, September 30. ROCHESTER — Micro Championship Wrestling, the greatest little show on earth, is coming to the Rochester Opera House! This match is guaranteed to be half the size and twice the excitement! The historic theater has had many uses in its more than 100-year history. From dinner theatre and Chinese acrobats to basketball games and presidential rallies - the Rochester Opera House is ready for anything. This will be the first time the theater will be used for a wrestling match and its not one to be missed! Micro Championship Wrestling is a high powered, explosive, athletic show with just the right touch of comedy thrown in to make it an event for all ages! These micro athletes may be short in stature but are giants in the world of entertainment where they will keep you on your feet, screaming and crying at the same time. Micro Championship Wrestling is the “#1 Midget Wrestling company in the USA” according to their website. Once you see an Micro Championship Wrestling event, it is hard not to turn into a Micro Maniac for life! The show starts at 8pm (doors open at 7pm) on Saturday, September 30. Handicap access in the balcony only. Tickets range from $15-24. Reserve tickets online or call the box office (603) 335-1992, W/F from 12-5pm and 2-hours before the show.
