RHS SUPPORTING EQUITY AND ACCESS Nearly 25 staff members from all across the school district came together today to consider ways to improve college readiness for larger numbers of students at Ramona High School. Examining an extraordinary set of data for current high school juniors related to meeting college entrance requirements led to purposeful conversation and planning. Keeping students at the center of the conversation, our local staff believes firmly that we can do more to provide college access to greater numbers of students. Stay tuned for important "next steps."

OPMS STUDENTS DROP WATERMELONS FROM THE SKY For the third consecutive year, students from Olive Pierce Middle School are engaging this week in their annual Watermelon Drop. Testing their knowledge of physics and a variety of other lessons, student teams from teacher Shane Helmich's Gateway to Technology course have assembled watermelon drop kits with a wide assortment of parachutes, protective shells, and packaging in order to see if their watermelon will withstand the 60-foot fall from the top of the school's Performing Arts Center.
