facebook.comHere's the event guide for tomorrow's First Friday Art Walk in Old Town Pocatello, by Jane Warnock, First Friday Art Walk Coordinator: Happy Holidays from First Friday Art Walk. Please join us in celebrating this holiday season in Old Town Pocatello, this Friday, from 5-9pm. Enjoy a variety of art and entertainment by artists from our region, while exploring dedicated businesses, galleries and restaurants. Plan to stay in Old Town for a delicious dinner with selections from around the world at any one of our authentic international restaurants. The night life will continue with live music and cold beverages throughout Old Town, both the east and west sides. We look forward to seeing you! Art Walk Locations - Eastside Old Town Pocatello Co-op Natural Foods Market & Farm Table Café, 308 E. Center, to host their annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Festival. Portneuf Valley Brewing, 615 S.1st, will host painter Gloria Parker. Soul Full of Blues providing live music that evening. Show runs from 9pm - 11:30pm with no cover. Second Time Around, 701 S.1st, welcomes you to explore their collection of vintage artwork, jewelry, furniture, and crystal pieces. Refreshments will be served. Gallows Art, 140 S. 4th, welcomes you to celebrate the holiday season with their display of watercolors by Gene Sherman, as well as refreshments and their always festive atmosphere. Sumisu Sushi & Asian Fusion, 309 E. Center, has a new custom painted wall mural that is not to be missed. Stop by to see the mural and enjoy a bite to eat or drink. Art Walk Locations - Westside Old Town The Shady Lady at 655 N. Arthur will be featuring artist Ron Lewis and his "Whimsical Hand Sculpted Holiday Characters", also enjoy "The Artistry of Holiday Decorating" by The Ladies. Join us for holiday cheer, music and hot spicy cider! The Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main, will feature the opening of the November and December Holiday Show. All items at the art gallery will be for sale. More than twenty artists will display gift items, cards, handmade jewelry, clocks, porcelain pieces, paintings, and photographs in many forms. The Pocatello Art Center will also be featuring Barbara Swanson's legacy art exhibit. There will be paintings, a legacy presentation, and a digital archive of Barbara's lifetime art work. Main Street Music, 401 N. Main, to host painter and sculptor, and musician Hailey Polk The Grecian Key Restaurant, 314 N. Main, will have live guitar music Friday evening beginning at 7:30pm. Main Steam Coffee & Desserts and All Under One Roof, 234 N. Main St., on Friday, “National AIDS Awareness Day,” for "An Evening In Red.” The event, in conjunction with the December First Friday Art Walk, will run from 5pm to 9pm and will raise funds to assist people who are living with HIV in southeastern Idaho. The evening will include live music, a live auction, no host beverages and refreshments. Please wear red in tribute to the family and friends lost to AIDS and those living with HIV. Walrus & Carpenter Books, 251 N. Main St., will feature “The Flows,” a journey in poetry and photographs through Craters of the Moon National Monument by Roger Boe and Will Peterson. The show will remain up through the end of the year. Vain & Vintage, 149 N. Main, to host Mike Sierra, upcycled metal works. As always...refreshments will be served Old Town Mercantile and Antiques, 134 N. Main, to host photographer, Cutter Cornforth, showing portrait and architecture photographs. You will also enjoy live Christmas music and refreshments. Studio 118, 118 N. Main, will be showing new handmade jewelry pieces and Christmas ornaments by Jeff Davies, Pam Lawson, Jan Smith, and Celeste Otasua. Gate City Fine Arts Gallery, 315 W. Center, will show sculpture, paintings and drawings by local artists. Black Rail Antiques, 312 W. Center, to host local artists with refreshments and live music by Rail City Jazz. Deckadence Board Shoppe, 324 W. Center, will be hosting artwork done by the students of this semesters Pocatello High School Ceramics class. Blades Salon and Spa, 200 S. Main, Marc Crapo will be our guest artist. He is an international videographer and photographer. The Salon will also be offering hair tinsel and face painting that night. The Pocatello Elks Lodge, 410 S. Main, to host their Trash to Treasures event to raise money for Elks Veterans and Youth programs. Please bring 3 small items to be appraised by local antique dealers, with over 80 years of experience. Dinner will be served for a small fee.

The Holiday Show at the Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main St., is all set for visitors and shoppers. They have fine art gifts for the holidays which are affordable. There are ceramics, jewelry, porcelain, photographs and paintings, cards and novelties, all one of a kind signed art creations. The hours are 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday.
