Auditions are today after school. We will have material for them to read. Only grades 3-6 need to try out. Grades 1 & 2 will be ensemble.

This year's School Play will be : Moana! Performing Arts registration forms will be handed out to anyone interested after the bell rings today. We'll have one mom standing at the front near the office and another in the back near the blacktop passing out forms. Forms are due at auditions Friday after school.

Performing Arts - Parent Meeting 1/9/18 After winter break, we delve into performing arts. We'll announce this year's play on January 8th and we invite parents to the multi for a quick meeting about this year's production after school on January 9th. Then, it's the big day - auditions on January 12th! Get ready to make a big splash on the Grant stage!

Winter Music Share, 12/18 Please join us for the Grant winter chorus and band concerts. You are invited to the Grant multi on Monday, December 18th to see our performers. The 5th grade and 6th grade bands will perform at 11:00 am and the Grant Chorus will take the stage at 2:00 pm.

The Grant Cares Committee, focusing on helping those in need in our community, has collected more than 1K in gift cards and nearly $800 in cash donations for families at our sister schools in Santa Rosa affected by the fires. It would not have been possible without our Shamrock families pitching in at the Talent Show, the Dine and Donate events and with the Giving Tree in the office. You are all so appreciated and you've helped make these holidays better for some families who've lost quite a bit and are trying to put the pieces back together. Thank you Grant!

For the last 8 years, Kimberly Calegari-Shoemaker has organized and put on the Grant Holiday Shoppe. This is her final year and we are so grateful for all she's done. Her mom also ran the Holiday Shoppe for many years when Kim went to Grant and volunteered over the last few years too. It's the end of an era. Our thanks to Kim and her family for such a great event for the kids.

New After School Enrichment - Mural Making - Starts Now! 12/6-1/24 Grant's Music Garden is getting a new mural and your child can help bring it to life! Under the tutelage of artist Maxfield Bala, students will learn the fundamentals of mural design, large scale painting and artistic techniques. Wednesdays from 12:50-2pm.
