We are open 8-1 Monday through Saturday. Nail trims are $5 and bath, nail and ears on short haired breeds is $30 are both walk in and no appointment needed Chantal’s Pet Grooming is a full service pet grooming facility for both dogs and cats. I also offer Teeth Scaling along with many other services you may find your pet needing. My hours of operation are currently 8am-3pm Monday, Wednesday- Saturday. I am located at 48 South Alpine Street off KMD (Kennedy Memorial Drive) in Oakland, Maine. South Alpine Street is one mile from the Waterville city line on the left hand side.
Chantal's Pet GroomingI am frequently asked what made me want to get in to this line of work and honestly I think a lot of it is because my grandparents owned a Boarding and Grooming kennel in Benton which is where I spent a lot of my time as a child. I have always wanted to do something in the pet field so I looked around my senior year in High School and took a job at a kennel where they did both grooming and boarding, and loved it. After I graduated in January of 2009 I started grooming school in Gray, Maine and graduated in September of 2009.
I have worked at a wide variety of pet grooming shops and shadowed groomers from all over. My grandmother who is a groomer in Texas taught me a lot of different ways to style the dogs, a groomer in Maine taught me how to groom cats, a man from New York taught me how to groom pot bellied pigs and birds and I picked up the teeth scaling from a groomer in New York. So as you see I have learned many things over the past few years and I am learning new things daily as styles change and tools upgrade.
