We are now squarely in allergy season. Pollen from trees are at very high levels. If you have asthma or COPD, don't let your symptoms get out of control. We can get you into see one of our 5 Providers on the morning you call. This is also a good time to remind you that if you have any chronic lung disease, diabetes or long term illness, you should take a once in a lifetime pneumonia shot. We've got you covered. Alabama is one of the first states with confirmed flu. We also have the highest number of cases in the nation. This year's flu vaccine DOES cover this year's strain.
True Medical Group is excited to announce the addition of Roy Barco, MD, PhD, to our clinic. He was awarded his medical degree and graduate degree from Vanderbilt. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine. He will be moving to Muscle Shoals in December and accepting patients in early January. Please make he and his family feel welcome in our community. We will begin giving Flu shots on Monday, October 3. Monday - Thursdays 8:00-11:00 AM and 1:00-4:00 PM. Fridays 8:00-11:00 AM. We also have Pneumonia vaccines available. Ask your provider if you think you might need one.

If you are unfortunate and contract the flu, get into the clinic as soon as possible. We can start you on medications to shorten the length of time you're sick and decrease the symptom severity. However, this med MUST be started within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms.
We are starting to see more flu in the Shoals area. It's not too late to get a flu shot.
