Wednesday Devotional I am training you not only to endure your difficulties but to transform them into Glory. This is a supernatural feat, and it requires the help of My supernatural Spirit. When problems are weighing heavily on you, your natural tendency is to speed up your pace of living, frantically searching for answers. But what you need at such times is to slow down and seek My Face. Invite the Spirit to help you as you discuss your difficulties with Me. Then lay your requests before Me and wait in expectation. Even though you wait expectantly, I may not answer your prayers quickly. I am always doing something important in your life—far beyond simply solving your problems. Your struggles are part of a much larger battle, and the way you handle them can contribute to outcomes with eternal significance. When you respond to your troubles by trusting Me and praying with thanksgiving, you glorify Me. Moreover, your practice of praying persistently will eventually make a “vast difference in you—My loved one crowned with Glory. In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.—Psalm 5:3 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.—Philippians 4:6 nkjv You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.—Psalm 8:5

Wednesday Devotional I rejoice over you with singing. Open wide your heart, mind, and spirit to receive My richest blessings. Because you are My blood-bought child, My Love for you flows continuously from the throne of grace. Look up and receive all that I have for you. Listen and hear Me singing songs of Joy because of My great delight in you. You can approach Me boldly—with confidence—trusting that you are indeed the one I love. The world teaches you that love is conditional: based on performance, appearance, and status. Even though you don’t believe this lie, the constant onslaught of this message in the media can penetrate your thinking. That’s why it is so important to spend time focusing on Me—soaking in My Presence, absorbing My Word. Setting aside time to be alone with Me is countercultural, so this practice requires discipline and determination. However, it is well worth the effort. Living close to Me brightens your life immeasurably. With Me is the fountain of Life; in My Light you see Light. “The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”—Zephaniah 3:17 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.—Hebrews 4:16 About Benjamin he said: “Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.”—Deuteronomy 33:12 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.—Psalm 36:9

Wednesday Devotional Blessed are those who rejoice in My Name all day long and exult in My righteousness. This Name represents Me in all of My glorious attributes. Used properly, it draws you closer to My loving Presence. Many people abuse My Name by using it as a swear word. Hearing this verbal abuse is exceedingly offensive to Me. However, My followers can lovingly utter the word “Jesus” all day long—to rejoice in Me and ask for help. I am God your Savior, and I will help you for the Glory of My Name. I invite you to exult in My righteousness. To “exult” is to be delighted, elated, joyful, jubilant—especially because of triumph or success. Just before I died on the cross, I said, “It is finished!” I was announcing the accomplishment of the greatest triumph imaginable: victory over sin and death for everyone who believes in Me. Through this crowning achievement, My righteousness has been credited to you forever, beloved. I have covered you with the robe of right “eousness. Wear My glorious garments of salvation with delight, elation, and joyful jubilation! They rejoice in your name all day long; they exult in your righteousness.—Psalm 89:16 Help us, O God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive us our sins for your name’s sake.—Psalm 79:9 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.—John 19:30 nkjv I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.—Isaiah 61:10 esv
