"Take A Kid Fishing"
Did you know Stephanie Townsell is your contact for Take a Kid FIshing this year. Buddy Brooks our stalwart Marine and good guy ran it for 13 years taking over from Jim Teague and Walmart has sponsored with Fish, Game, and Wildlife out of Calhoun for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources with fish weighed by the Hopkins County Bass Club for years with Howard D Happy Co downtown Madisonville printing all the flyers for school children each year? Did you know there are food, prizes, trophy awards, each year? Did you know in your child's age group they have a chance of winning while having a good time? Each year thanks to the kindness of the Madisonville City Park and The City of Madisonville, KY we have been able to hold it at the City Park near the clubhouse on the lake under roof with places for the kids to eat in comfort. For years our beloved K C Zellich counted out worms to each cup telling each child he had hand picked the best ones for that cup. The Key Club members each year help us by registering the families to get them in the right age group and are a blessing in many ways each year.
