Madison's Award Winning Kosher-Style Deli and Ice Cream Parlor This fun filled restaurant is a true Madison Original. Serving fun and great food at its East Washington location for 28 years, it has become a favorite of young and old alike.
Toys fly through the air while model trains chug along inside glass table tops. Adding to the fun is the full sized Parker Carousel outside running spring, summer and fall.
The encyclopedic menu features everything from homemade matzo ball soup to hot corned beef covered in melted swiss. Kids will be delighted to see their own two page menu. Be sure to save room for something out of the 13 page dessert menu, which includes the award winning 'number one' hot fudge grilled pound cake sundae.

Thank you so much for the overwhelming response to our closing. We are so happy that we were able to see so many of you for one last visit. Our last day will be Sunday, January 21st. We will be closing at 3pm on Sunday.
It is with sad hearts that we announce that Ella’s Deli will be closing at our current location. It has been our privilege to be a part of the Madison community for 42 years. Ella’s has always been about people and we are so very grateful to all our customers and employees. To the many families that have visited us, including over multiple generations, we have enjoyed getting to know you and meeting your children and then your children’s children. To the thousands of amazing former and current employees we have had over the years, your dedication has made Ella’s the award winning destination it is today. Our goal is to continue the Ella’s tradition. It is our hope that Ella’s will be back under new ownership, in a new space, and with a new and exciting direction. We hope you can visit us, say hi, and enjoy your favorites one last time. Our last day of business will be around January 21st. We may modify our hours to accommodate our employees. We will update on our Facebook page with changes as we make them. Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of this community by including us in so many moments in your lives, from celebrating birthdays, to first dates, to just enjoying family dinners. We are forever grateful for your support.
Trick or Treat! Everyone wearing a costume rides the carousel for FREE Saturday, October 28th and Sunday, October 29th! Stop in and show off your costume and go for a ride! Happy Halloween!!
Ella's Deli is not closing. We have been a part of this community for 41 years and look forward to many more. The owners have no plans to change anything and have simply been exploring what possibilities may exist for their future. We are excited about continuing to create memories with you and serve the Madison area. Thank you for your loyal business!
Do you need a job this summer or know someone that does? (for example, your teenager on spring break this week?) Ella's Deli is hiring and training now! Thursday, April 13th from 2pm to 7pm, we will be giving immediate interviews to all applicants applying in person. Ella's is hiring for all positions and all experience levels.
