Weightless Float Center is a wellness center located at Distillery Commons in the heart of Louisville. Weightless offers massage therapy, yoga, meditation classes and primarily flotation therapy.
What is flotation therapy?
Often referred to as floating, R.E.S.T., or sensory deprivation, flotation therapy involves floating in a large bath with over 200 gallons of water and 900lbs of Epsom salt dissolved into it. The density of the water is higher than that of the Dead Sea, so you don't feel gravity. The water is set to our external body temperature (roughly 94 degrees) so you don't feel the water. And if you choose to close the lid and turn off the lights the tank is lightproof and soundproof, so you don't see or hear anything. The combined effects leave you in a profoundly relaxed state by isolating the mind and body from any external sensory input. The floater simply floats in the tank for 90min free of any distractions from the outside world.
In a day and age where it's difficult to escape from our smartphones for even an hour, to have the fantastic benefits of Epsom salt and the weightlessness of the float, you are left in a calm, relaxed, and well rested state upon the end of your session.

I (Greg) went to a BNI meeting here in Louisville (the only one I've ever been to in Lou.) and met another first-time goer. We sat right next to each other. She was wearing a red dress. Her name is Ashley Marble. We both had the opportunity to speak about our new businesses. I learned that she was a fitness coach and personal trainer. She learned I had a wellness center. We said "lets work together!", and the rest is history. I've seen Ashley change so many peoples' lives, and have heard through those she worked with how incredible she really is. When she opened Burn Boot Camp in Crestwood I was so happy for her, and knew she would make a bigger impact there, and I wondered what she'd do next. Well, that NEXT is here!! Today is the grand opening of Ashleys own gym and fitness center The Marble Method!! I am so excited for her, and I am happy to say I'm proud to see someone with so much drive, intensity, and concern for other people do what she continues to do. I'll be there, in support, as well as representing Weightless Float Center.
