Rio Vista Library is one of the smallest branches in Solano County Library. It's also the home of the infamous Library Guy. But who, exactly, is Library Guy? Supervising Librarian, Kevin Tolley explains, "He’s a time traveler, of course." "We found him in the mechanical room where he scared Keith (IT Manager) one day. And because he’s a mannequin and not a person we didn’t kick him out. Instead we brought him out into the library and set him up as Library Guy. Turns out he originally came to the library because he needed to repair his time machine and wanted information. Now, he spends most of his day reading up on current-day pop culture and is doing a “study” of the library’s magazines. He really likes People Magazine, and was very upset when Seventeen got cancelled. He says he needs us to find a good K-pop fan magazine; again for his “research”. Library Guy really likes programs, as you can see from the pictures. He’s not very dynamic, but he’s really started to get into the spirit of things with his attire. Obviously his choice of reading material is affecting his fashion sense." Be sure to visit with Library Guy next time you're at the Rio Vista Library. He enjoys good company and selfies.
