Firethorn is very excited to start our third season of the Firethorn Flyers Swim Team. The Resort aquatics facility features a 6-lane 25-meter pool with starting blocks and competition lane lines. In addition to the amazing facilities, we are confident that our experienced coaching staff can help develop swimmers of all ages/abilities. The Flyers Swim Team is a program targeted to ALL FIRETHORN YOUTH that like to have fun in the sun! The first practice is Tuesday, May 29th. Registration is recommended prior to the first practice. Hole number 8 is a long and difficult par 5. The tee shot demands a long carry from any of the first 4 tee boxes. You will have to make a decision on the second shot. The options are to cut the corner and leave yourself a manageable 3rd or to swing for the fences without a view of the green. The green is protected by a front bunker and large mound. This hole will play more difficult into the south summer breeze.

The fitness center at Firethorn Golf Club features the latest cardio machines, weight machines and free weights for use by our members. There is also a fitness studio for classes which run multiple times per day. What sets the fitness center at Firethorn apart? It's the view!

Hole number 7 on the Championship Course demands accuracy right from the start. A narrow opening through the trees off the tee is just the beginning, course out of bounds left and a tree lined jail along the right will make you scramble just to make a double-bogey. The green has 2 distinct tiers and a back left pin placement can make even the best putter question their read.

For the past 7 years, Rozalyn Nelsen has been providing our golfers with on course food and beverage service. At Firethorn, we all have a favorite event but Roz looks forward to the Quest every year. "Quest is a member guest event where I am able to meet new people and new potential members!" Roz said. "My favorite part about working here is when members come back and tell me how much they love the course and all we have to offer at Firethorn!"
