Corbin is pleased to introduce our MORNINGS AT SEVEN director, Shari Wassergord. After earning her degree in Theatre from Hope College in Michigan, Shari Wassergord spent nine years in New York City, directing over a dozen productions. She also studied at Gotham City Improv and was a member of the Amnesia Wars troupe. Since moving to Kansas City in 2010, she has directed productions at community theatres around the area, including City Theatre of Independence, OCTA, and the Bell Road Barn Players, where she currently serves as Vice President of the Board. Recently, she made her first foray into producing, and produced and directed The Cat Meme-ologues, which won Best of Venue at this summer's Fringe Festival. Favorite productions include: The Boys Next Door, Enchanted April, at CTI; Every Christmas Story Ever Told, at OCTA; The Hound of the Baskervilles at Bell Road; and Everyman at the Looking Glass in NYC.

The Corbin Theatre of Liberty, Missouri is holding auditions for the comedic drama, MORNINGS AT SEVEN by Paul Osborn. Auditions are walk-in, cold readings, but monologues will be heard by the director if you are more comfortable. There are roles for 9 adult actors, 5W 4M. Every role is a great character to play and have fun with. All ethnicities welcome. Please bring a list of conflicts, a picture of yourself and a theatrical resume if you have one. Auditions are Saturday, Aug 26th 10am-noon Sunday, Aug 27 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Corbin Theatre 15 N Water Street Liberty, MO 64068 Rehearsals will be 3 weekday nights a week and Saturday mornings. Performances are Oct 27 and 28, Nov 3 and 4th at 7:30pm. We are also looking for people interested in designing or working backstage. Please send any questions or requests for additional audition times if you can't make it, to the director, Shari Wassergord at sharingj@juno.com Roles Available: (all characters are retirement age, except Homer and Myrtle, who are around 40) Thor Swanson- An everyman, voice of common sense, but he has his own failings too. Cora Swanson- Housewife who's ready to start taking control of her life Aaronetta Gibbs- her flirtatiousness and selfishness hides a deep seated feeling of inadequacy. Ida Bolton- Mother of adult son, struggling to let go of him, and keep her family together Carl Bolton- A super nice guy, talented builder who's haunted by regrets with his life choices Homer Bolton- affable man who struggles to make decisions, wants to please everyone Myrtle Brown- Career woman who just wants to finally get married, timid, committed to being pleasant Esther Crampton- Eldest of three sisters who is often the voice of reason David Crampton- Academic who wants to be left alone with his superior (he thinks) theories
