Hello Natalie's Second Chance Alumni! We are so excited to plan another picnic with all of our friends and their families! We have reserved two shelters at Columbian Park! We love seeing your pictures you send us and are so excited to get some head pats and dog kisses in from some of our favorite rescue dogs! Please come with your dog on a leash and visit with our volunteers and staff. We are looking forward to hearing how our friends are doing and hoping to get some amazing pictures! We will have a few adoptable dogs with us, some activities for the kids, pictures for families of dogs, and some lunch! We are still planning this event so keep checking back for updates as we work to make it a lot of fun for families and dogs! We are so excited to see some of our amazing dogs and get their stories to post on the website later this summer!

Sachi doesn't mind the snow!!! 😊 We are getting to know this pretty girl more. She is good with other dogs. She can be a little forward when meeting. We are guessing her to be a basenji Kelpie mix. Around 2 years old. She loves to explore!

Our beautiful Rottie boy went to his first trial home. We had so many wonderful apps and and families stepping up for him it was not an easy decision. Otto is starting some training this week! Thank you everyone for reaching out to give them boy a wonderful home.

Hello Team! We need your help, more importantly Zorro needs your help. Zorro desperately needs some serious training he has a bad biting habit. When Zorro first meets someone he becomes very protective and acts aggressively. We can no longer show him for adoption and living in a shelter is no life for him. We are exhausting all resources to help Zorro be the goofy clown he is and drop the tough guy attitude. Training for Zorro and what he needs is 2500 dollars. Our boy Devon is awaiting visitors! And so are all of his friends! Devon was rescued from the streets with a large 8 pound chain around his neck. He is currently healing from some skin issues and from the irritation from the chain. He is so sweet. He seems okay with other dogs, a little jumpy now that he's better but should be okay with kiddos. Come meet this precious boy and all of his friends! We are here 5-7!

Odin is a 9 year old minpin who is on medication for a cough and his heart. He was a medical pull and is possibly going to need additional tests and review before being placed in a home. He has an enlarged heart on xray and we are looking into what his care will be. He seems okay with other dogs and is very friendly. He is a sweet boy. He loves to ride in the car! He's looking for a forever home! Or foster!

Freda is around 2 or 3 years old and she’s very shy and timid with first introductions. She is super loving once she knows her people, but needs that extra bit of time to be comfortable. She loves to lean into her people and get snuggles. Just look at those lovely ears.

Click on photos, albums, and see all our current adoptable dogs. This beauty is Duchess, a one year old beagle pit mix. She is super sweet and loving. She closes her eyes while being petted because she loves the attention. She may appear upset in her kennel but she wants out so you can pet her and she can kiss you! We are still getting to know her with other dogs and kids but so far she is very loving and a bit shy.

Meet Otto! Otto is an 11 month old Rottweiler. He has a lot of energy and needs some training to learn some basic manners. Otto needs an experienced adopter. He is ready to learn and very smart! Otto needs a fenced in yard to stretch his legs in. He is very interested in other dogs he looks like he is ready to run and play! He will need dogs his size. Otto is 110 pound puppy! We are hoping for a quick adoption so he can start his training! :)
