The Children's Resource Center houses the public health outreach programs and educational materials that we offer children and their families. We are proud of the current programs we have and look forward to extending them and implementing more programs in the future. Another outreach program we offer is The B.E.A.R. Buddies (Being Engaged to Achieve Reading) program. B.E.A.R Buddies pairs high school students with elementary students who need assistance in reading skills. They meet weekly to work on reading skills. Read more about B.E.A.R. Tara will be featured in a video honoring YWCA NETN and SWVA Tribute to Women award recipient and our CEO Lisa Phipps Carter. The video will be played at the awards ceremony on May 10.
