Indiana University of Pennsylvania
Description
IUP provides outstanding academics with extensive faculty interaction in a great, small-town location, about an hour northeast of Pittsburgh. Welcome to our Facebook page! Founded in 1875, IUP combines the high-caliber academic opportunities of a large university with the personalized and welcoming learning-centered environment of a small college. With a student/faculty ratio of 18 to 1, IUP helps students make connections on a daily basis.
Our main campus spans more than 350 beautiful acres, including the Oak Grove beloved by students, faculty, and alumni. We're located in Indiana, Pa., about an hour northeast of Pittsburgh.
Our three affiliated campuses and centers: IUP Northpointe (located in Armstrong County), Monroeville Graduate and Professional Center, and IUP Punxsutawney.
Among our many notable alumni are Chad Hurley '99, cofounder of YouTube; Marla Sabo '79, partner at Fireman Capital; William Powell, vice president of General Motors North America, Industry-Dealer Affairs; and Tim Cejka '73, retired president of ExxonMobil Exploration Company and vice president of ExxonMobil Corporation.
