Young Forest Martial Arts, ltd.
Description
Greenville, Ohio's Premier Martial Arts Academy Young Forest Martial Arts is family owned, operated and orientated. We believe in building strong families and strong communities. Even our school structure is based on family structures. For example, Sifu means teacher/father (it can also mean teacher/mother as it is not gender specific. It is a term used in any master apprentice relationship), Simo (title for Sifu’s wife) means mother and student titles translates to brother or sister. So not only do we help and promote building stronger family bonds at home, we build and develop them at our school as well. This reinforces, teaches and gives individuals the experience needed to establish these kinds of relationships in other areas of life such as school (elementary, high school, college), work, other group/organizations, et cetera, et cetera.
To build strong families and strong communities it must start with the individual. Young Forest Martial Art’s primary objective is to develop strong moral character and life skills in children and adults and we do this through martial arts training.
Our general martial arts programs are as follows:
Wee Warriors ages 3-5
Children 6-12
Young Adult/Adult 13 and up
Tai Chi/Chi Gung 13 and up
We also offer additional fitness programs through affiliate programs. Greenville Strength and Conditioning offers tailored strength and conditioning classes customized to individual needs and includes diet and nutritional coaching. Additionally, we have partnered with a certified Zumba instructor to offer Zumba classes.
At Young Forest Martial Arts, we believe to have a healthy mind, you must have a healthy body. Whether through our general martial arts programs, or through one of our fitness partners, we know we have a program for you and your family.
Join us in our quest to become better individuals, help others become better individuals, and build a better community.

BUSTED! Two Young Forest Students Playing Hooky
We caught these two students playing hooky to man a Young Forest Info Table at the Edison State Community College/County On Rural Services Piqua Wellness Day. How dare they miss school to promote good health and wellness! However, they manned the table so professionally, and put on such a good demonstration, we were compelled to not only forgive them, but treat them to lunch as well. They did show great poise and leadership - we were very proud of them. Thanks Nikki Stevens of CORS for inviting us! http://youngforestmartialarts.com/2017/04/29/busted-two-young-forest-students-playing-hooky/
Young Forest Bashing Trash at Trash Bash 2017
We came, we saw, we bashed trash! Several families of Young Forest Martial Arts came together this past Saturday to make a difference by doing their part in cleaning up our community. And, as you can see from the smiles on the faces of our brave young warriors, the Nor'easter-like wind conditions had no affect on their disposition and eagerness to spend a whole Saturday morning making a difference. Another Great Den of the Tiger Tournament!
Unfortunately, due to illnesses, only half of our competitors made it to the annual Henry Fought Memorial Youth Karate Tournament. But those of us who dodged illnesses and made the nearly two hour trek had outstanding experiences as usual. Not only did all three of our competitors place in their divisions, more importantly, all three of them earned the prestigious and highly coveted Sportsmanship award! And all but one student has earned Honorable Mention - which is earned by having consistently high grades, Honor or Merit Role, positive complements on their grade card from teachers, a whole letter grade improvement, etc. [ 84 more words ] http://youngforestmartialarts.com/2017/02/22/academic-achievers-have-done-it-again/

Young Forest Martial Arts Celebrates A Great 2016
This past Saturday members of Young Forest Martial Arts, their family, and friends descended upon the Lighthouse Christian Center's UTurn building in celebration of the end of a great year and the start of another one. Every year our Sipai—Kung Fu Family—grows; and 2016 was particularly great for Young Forest Martial Arts as we saw some significant growth. This allowed Young Forest to relocated to a new, more suitable facility to not only accommodate our growing numbers, but allow us to expand some of our classes and programs, as well as create new ones—so that we can meet everyone's needs.
