Sunday afternoon is the big kick-off for our SCARY SUNDAYS movie series! We'll be playing classic horror masterpieces, both old and new, every Sunday this month at 2pm. Kicking things off this Sunday will be Scary Sundays: "The Nightmare" (2015). A documentary by Rodney Ascher, it takes a look at a frightening condition that plagues thousands -- sleep paralysis. Stop by if you dare! 🎃👻

Come to the library to meet local authors and learn how you can get published yourself! The authors will be gathered on the first and third floors of the libraries to meet you, talk up their book, and even sell some merchandise! Featuring: Sophiani Adams James Davidson II Liz DeJesus Helen Downing Will Hahn Lee S. King John Micklos, Jr. Bobbie Palmer Tera Young There will also be events around the library all day! 12:00 PM - Be U 2 the Fullness Workshop with Tera Young, taking place in the Small Theater space in the back of the first floor. 1:00PM - Storytime with author John Micklos, Jr., taking place in the Children's Program Room on the first floor. 2:00PM - Genre Writers' Panel with Liz DeJesus and Friends, taking place in the Teen Loft on the third floor. There will also be a special HAPPY HOUR at the Grey Fox Grille at 5:00PM, where patrons and authors can schmooze and network! This part of Author Day will only be for those at least 18 years of age. Join us for what's sure to be a memorable day at your local library!

The Dover Public Library and the Delaware Center of the Book host author Charles Todd. Charles Todd is the pen name of the mother-son writing team most known for the bestsellling Bess Crawford mysteries. Caroline Todd will speak about writing, publishing and introduce their new novel, "A Casualty of War." Books will be available for purchase and light refreshments will be served. The public is invited to attend.

Girls Who Code is a national non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology. Girls join a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models to help them learn to see themselves as computer scientists. For girls ages 13-18 years. Space is limited.
