Roll of the Dice Blanket, Soft Spring Colors

I adore making blankets, but can't always decide what order and size to do the striping once I decide on colors. For this blanket I grabbed my hook, 6 colors of yarn, and a couple of dice. Each color was assigned a number. Then I rolled two dice. The first decided the number of the color, and the second decided how many V stitch rows (or really how thick the row is) of that same color. This is the final product of the first of three that I have done so far. I love the crazy, unpredictable result. It appeals to the table gamer in me. Today's WIP: this blanket is so fun! It's the second one I have made in this style. I chose 6 colors and gave them each a number. I then roll 2 dice, the first selects the next stripe color and the second selects the stripe thickness. Totally random stripes that are so much fun to watch come to life! Nearly 2/3 of the way through the beach waves blanket that I have been working on. Gotta find some of the mixed tans Caron Cakes to finish up the sandy beach. And then to decide if/what appliques to add. Turtle, octopus 🐙, maybe a starfish or jellyfish. What do you think?
