An intriguing, southern-inspired destination for relaxing suppers, slow weekend brunching or a meeting hub for business lunches and happy hour. Ida Claire is an intriguing, southern influenced restaurant & bar. The elevated southern cuisine has influences from different regions. You’ll most likely see dishes you’ve heard of before but with little twists here and there. Our sandwiches will be served on biscuits and we’ll have chicken and waffles on every menu. Brunch is obviously southern and will be a big part of what we do. The drinks are takes on classics like the Mint Julep but revved up and including a lot of house made ingredients. We’ll have several different house bitters and a house gin. The décor has a southern influence with antebellum charm and elegant polish, stated most clearly in our reworked air stream trailer parked in the garden for VIP reservations. The whole restaurant will feel like a quirky southern aristocrat’s home…just not exactly what you might think.

Celebrate Derby Day with us at Ida Claire! We will be having a build your own Mint Julep bar this Saturday out on Ida's garden patio. For just $10, you can choose exactly what you'd like to make your personal Mint Julep out of. Enter your recipe into our Julep competition for a chance to have your Julep featured on our next special monthly cocktail menu! We will announce this winner via Facebook on Monday the 8th. We encourage you to give it a shot, but if you trust our bartenders more than yourself, they will be crafting various Juleps created just for Derby Day! Proceeds from the build your own julep bar will also be donated to the Churchill Downs Foundation. See you there!
