KBA, located in Bethel, AK, is open during the AK Summer, from around mid May and closes after the first weekend in October(earlier, weather depending). KBA rents recreational kayaks and sporting canoes by the hour, day or week; suitable for exploring the backwater of Bethel for fishing, birding and viewing wild life or take a 10 day white water fishing trip down the Kisaralik River

Fall Colors Guided Tour: Kuskokwim Backwater Approach wants to thank all our patrons for sharing in our Summer fun and adventure that made our guided river tour popular. So we are having one more tour to close the season! Saturday, September 16, 2017, is an impromptu tour for the 2017 Fall Season. The cost of this tour is $125/person, BYOF&D. Pre-registration is strongly advised. Our tours fill up fast, seating is limited; register early so you don't miss this last of the season blast! Previous tour groups have seen osprey, bald eagles and almost saw a river otter! I was on Front St. yesterday, the river ice is sure looking dark! Maybe breakup will be early! Last year we were taking reservations right and left the week right after the ice went out and our kayaks were on the river April 30th!
