57th Annual Celebration of the Howell Melon Festival will take place in Downtown Howell on August 18th, 19th & 20th, 2017! For the past 54 years, downtown Howell has
welcomed the annual Melon Festival. This three
day summer festival is a tribute to Howell’s
agricultural heritage as it serves up the famed
Howell melon, a delicious cantaloupe grown only in
Howell. This is a milestone year as the festival
turns 55 and we plan to make it the biggest and
best one yet! Events will include the Howell Melon Run, Doc May’s Memorial Bike Ride, live
entertainment, fresh-made melon ice cream,
demonstrations, a carnival, train rides, a classic car show, a fine arts and wares show, plenty of
shopping and delicious food. We hope you'll join us and become part of this community tradition!
