For more than 20 years, Dr. Billy Cannon worked at Louisiana State Penitentiary. The inmates at Angola respected him so much they made and paid for the materials for his casket.
Officers from Louisiana’s Department of Corrections are on hand for the funeral of Dr. Billy Cannon.
Visitation for Dr. Billy Cannon is underway in the Maravich Center. Visitation will last until 2 p.m. when the funeral begins.
