The SMHS Track and Field Team finished its season today at the LHSAA 4A State Championships. The Warriors had six athletes competing in four events throughout the day. Congratulations to Luke Hebert who won the 4A state title in the 800m run as well as the other athletes who competed! #WarriorProud

SMHS seniors Alex Landry, Sarah Hille, and Sarah Banker received special awards after Mass this morning. Alex Landry was recognized as St. Michael's Student of the Year based on his academic excellence as well as his accomplishments outside of the classroom. Sarah Hille received the Prudential Spirit of Community Award for St. Michael for making a positive difference in the community through her volunteer service. Sarah Banker received the Kiwanis Courtesy Award from The Kiwanis Club of Baton Rouge for living and portraying consideration and respect for others in her daily life. Congratulations Alex, Sarah H., and Sarah B.!

SMHS seniors Elena Eddington and James Albano received the Class of 2017 American Legion award this morning after Mass. This award is given to a male and female in the senior class, voted on by St. Michael faculty, who personifies the terms of leadership, character, citizenship, Christian values and service. Congratulations Elena & James!

A special Mother's Mass was held this morning at St. Michael in honor of the Blessed Mother Mary and senior mothers. This school tradition is always a special time for the graduating class and their moms. Fr. Eddie Martin spoke about miracles and encouraged seniors to always carry their Catholic faith with them throughout life. After Mass, seniors and their special guests enjoyed a brunch sponsored by Home & School.
