Sunday evening June 23rd It is with mixed emotions, on the one hand absolute heartbreak because of the circumstances, but on the other hand massive joy at the respect shown to my darling wife, Marion, that I can tell you the magnificent sum of £1000 has been donated in her name to her chosen charity Wirral Hospice St Johns..... £474 was donated at the service at St James Church and £526 on the field at West Kirby FC car boot sales over the last two Sundays. ..In a week or two, when my emotions might not be quite so raw, I will take that money to the hospice in Marion's name. Wednesday 9.00pm I have just got home from the celebration of my beloved wife Marion's life and I wish to thank everyone who turned up at the church and later at Frankby Cemetery. ...The turnout at the church was described as" the biggest in living memory for a funeral "and I can only apologise to those who had to stand at the back for the hour long service as all the pews were full and they ran out of extra chairs. Sunday June 16th....The magnificent sum of £321.50 was donated today in Marion's name for the benefit of her chosen charity Wirral Hospice St John's. She would have been highly delighted at the sum raised but totally embarrassed by the many beautiful comments which associated the donations. MY DARLING WIFE'S FUNERAL SERVICE WILL TAKE PLACE THIS COMING WEDNESDAY JUNE 19TH AT ST JAMES CHURCH, ALBION STREET NEW BRIGHTON THE SERVICE STARTS AT 1.00PM AND ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND

Wednesday June 5th It is with total heartbreak that I have to tell you that my beautiful wife Marion passed away yesterday Shortly after presenting the latest charity cheque to Wirral St Johns Hospice she was diagnosed with the deadliest brain tumour any person could suffer. Marion has been my backbone over the 22 years we have operated the carboot sale, the ever smiling, friendly, caring courteous person who was loved by all. I know you will remember her with great affection....John xx

We will be presenting a cheque for £500 to Wirral Hospice St Johns next week as our annual donation to their charity....over the last few years we are proud to confirm we have raised £10,500 for local cancer charities....thank you to all the people, sellers and buyers who have helped us on this fabulous journey..John.
