Howlands Baptist Church is a friendly church serving the community of Howlands from its home at The Commons in Welwyn Garden City.  As well as our Sunday service at 1030 we have lots of midweek activities:

Toddler group: Wednesdays term time 9.45-11.30am

Small Groups: Thursdays 8pm (fortnightly) and Wednesdays 2pm (fortnightly)
"In each of these small groups people meet to pray for each other and for the church, as well as studying the Bible together."

Bi-monthly Church Prayer Meeting: Wed or Thurs 8pm
"This is a great opportunity to pray together for our world, community and church."

iFriday (Youth Group for Years 6-8): Fridays term time 7.30-9pm.
"This is a brilliant youth group that happens every Friday during term time. Each week is different. Some of the year 9s stay on for an 'iFriday seniors' extra half hour 9-9.30pm with hot chocolate and a chat."  Find out more by visiting our iFriday page on our website.

Men's Breakfast: 2nd Saturdays 8.30-9.30am
"This fun event is a great chance for the men of the church to meet and share together over breakfast. The invited speaker talks on a biblical or men's issue and this topic is then opened up to the group for discussion."

Reflection group 1st and 3rd Tuesdays 2-3pm at the church.
"An hour of opening sharing, praying and reflecting."

Crafty Coffee Mornings  1st and 3rd Thursday mornings 10.00AM-12.00PM at the church.
Coffee, friendship and the chance to try a new craft or one you know. Open to everyone, you can make crafts here for charity or for yourself whilst enjoying a friendly coffee and chat.

Chair Based Exercise 2.30-3.30pm Fridays.
This class is designed for senior-citizens and those needing seated-support during exercise. Stay for refreshments and a chat afterwards. Cost: £3.

SHE Club once every two months on a Saturday.
"All women are welcome to a variety of social events at the Saturday Howlands Ensemble Club from fish and chip suppers, meals outs to garden parties, we enjoy each other's company in a friendly and fun environment."
