IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT My brother Pete and myself feel it's time to let you know that our little vege cafe is now up for sale. It's a decision that hasn't been taken lightly, it has taken a long time of thinking and soul searching. We have worked very hard to achieve a solid standing within Watford and build up our brilliant customer base. Originally started due to my Dad's dream of running a veggie cafe, my brother and I have been running it ourselves for the last 2 years since our dad's ill health meant he had to give it up. We both feel it is the right time for us to leave and pursue our creative careers and let someone else have a go... For us it has been a fantastic learning experience which would not have been possible without our dear friends Jill and Tom. We would like to thank all our loyal customers who over the years have sustained Gokula Veg Cafe. We are very appreciative of all the new friends that we have made :) We will of course be open until we find a buyer which could take some time so we will keep everyone updated. Ideally we are looking for someone to carry on our success and keep the place vegetarian and grow it. I believe deep down that this place can become even better if kept vegetarian. It has a strong customer base which has grown year on year with even more room for improvement. For example the new charter place redevelopment and iMax cinema that is currently being built in Watford town centre will bring in even more trade - especially if the cafe is kept open in the evenings. GoKula Vegetarian Cafe

We will be closed tomorrow (Sunday) to carry out a sink replacement and to develop more counter space. Apologies in advance for any inconveniences that may occur. We will also be closing on all Sunday's very soon for the foreseeable future to give all limited staff a break. We have been open 6 years now and through a combination of hard work from our small number of staff, to our brilliant regular customers and new customers alike. Also our neighbours (wacky barbers) and the underground tattoo studio across the road who have especially supported us from the outset. We will continue to make improvements were possible if we have the resources to do so. Watford is becoming a really thriving town especially with the charter place redevelopment and the installation of the new cinema in the next two years or so. Also the music scene and the general creative vibe has come on a lot due in part to great musicians and great venues. Attico Art Centre on the lower high street being a great example of the art, crafts and music fair :) Cheers and thanks for all of your support Mikey and the Gokula crew :)
