Welcome to Starburst Academy!
An independent Performing Arts Academy based in Watford, focusing on nurturing young talent in dance, drama and singing. Starburst Academy is an independent Performing Arts company specialising in offering first class tuition to students aged 6 - 16 years.
Starburst was formed in 2007 by principal Irene Moss and specialised in after school clubs. Working closely with schools, it offers students the chance to participate in drama and dance clubs which incorporate end of term demonstrations, mini reports and performances at school events. All the admin work is undertaken by us so the school can just enjoy being able to offer the opportunity!
In 2014, Starburst branched out to LAMDA tuition in Acting, Verse and Prose, Reading for Performance and Speaking in Public. Sessions are offered as individual sessions or small groups. To date we have 100% success rate with students gaining either merit or distinction.
In January 2016, Starburst opened their first ever Saturday Academy offering dance, drama and singing tuition over 3 hours with industry professionals. We are delighted to have exclusive use The Wellspring Centre, Watford and run Saturday in line with the school term.
We also offer workshops in the Easter and Summer holidays and will release dates nearer the time.

STARBURST ACADEMY CLUBS AND CLASSES! The Main Saturday Academy/Small Stars will return on: Saturday 10th September at 10am. We will be at KNUTSFORD SCHOOL, Balmoral Road, Watford instead as we cannot use The Wellspring for this first day! All after school clubs return: w/c 12th September at 3.15pm. *SMALL STARS TASTER MORNING* this Saturday 25th June! We only have 4 spaces left for this FREE TASTER class so contact me if you are interested in booking! irene@starburstacademy.com/07876 713555 Our small star class is launching in September and is aimed at 4 + 5 year old children. They will get the opportunity to build confidence, social and speaking skills through drama, dance and singing from 10am - 1130am alongside our Saturday Academy. Information for SATURDAY: Venue - The Wellspring Centre, 1 Wellspring Way, Watford, Herts - it is behind Watford Museum/ Watford High Street Station. Our Small Stars will get a chance to try out singing, dance and drama throughout the morning as well as lots of games and fun! We respectfully request that parents do not stay in the session as this can often be more of a distraction for the little ones. But please be assured that we will give them lots of love and attention and should we feel we need to, we will contact you immediately. There will be a short break so do pack a snack/drink for your star! I am on hand all morning, alongside Peggie Moss, to speak to parents and all information regarding enrolling will be handed out on the day. If you have any questions - do not hesitate to contact me! Please feel free to share with anyone who may enjoy our wonderful academy. A Wish for Megan
If anybody can help donate toward this worthy cause - please take a moment. Megan is a beautiful, vibrant young girl and I am proud to say, is a wonderful student of Starburst. The cost of the equipment is astronomical and desperately needed. Starburst shall be helping along the way with some charity events but any donation of any amount will be truly appreciated by her and her amazing family!

**FOR YOUR DIARY!!** *SUMMER WORKSHOPS* Starburst Academy will be running a SUMMER WORKSHOP for one week in the holidays and we have provisionally got the dates Monday 1st - Friday 5th August! Students aged 6 - 16 years! I wanted to get it out there to parents in case you are looking at childcare options! MORE DETAILS/POSTERS TO FOLLOW!!!
