Bruce and I had our Sunday chat about his photo of the day and Dave Allen gets it this week. He couldn’t choose just one either! “.....Everything he does is meticulous and done with intensity. His work at the breakdown, in particular, is always precise and so quick. On the break he runs straight and hard. In everything he does you can see he's played at a higher level. A real pleasure to watch and photograph!” #twrfc #rugby #rugbyfamily #mudfest #foughthard #losingbonuspoint

Westcombe Park v TWRFC Match Report

facebook.com

Westcombe Park 11 - 10 TWRFC Challenging conditions again today and everyone put in a full shift but the spoils went to Westcombe Park... just! With the score 11-10 with just a few minutes to go the WP fullback attempted a clearance which was blocked by Frank Reynolds who kicked through to the in-goal area before diving on the ball, but the ref was unable to confirm the grounding and so couldn't give it. Being a ref is a thankless task, and it is what it is, but it was certainly an exciting end to a very even contest. All the best to Westcombe Park in their efforts to stay up and if results continue to go their way we'll see them next season. >>> Next week is a rest week. Our 1st XV will travel to Hertford on the 17th February for our next league fixture <<< Feel free to tag, like, comment and share any of the photos! As lovely as it is to see photos on social media it's better to have a print that will be there to look at in years to come! Match day and Wells make the short trek up the road to Westcombe Park this afternoon. K.o. is scheduled for 2pm. Live scores will follow on this page. Westcombe Park have had a challenging season, and currently sit in the top relegation spot in 12th. That said they have now won 3 of their 4 matches since Christmas and clearly intend to make themselves safe. They're only 2 points behind Shelford in 11th but their run-in includes fixtures against the top 4 in the league, out of 8 matches. This is a must-win for them. It's another challenging fixture and one we're looking forward to! #COYW
