And then lastly for tonight is our marvellous Mildred! She’s working extremely well at the mo, as always she’s jumping whatever you point her at and she’s going very well on the flat. I’m going to repost her ad and pics for you ❤️⭐️🐴 TOTAL POCKET ROCKET! 🐴⭐️❤️ This super little girl is fun, fun, fun! Mildred is a very smart 14.1h, seven year old, Irish piebald mare. A little jumping bean. She was made to jump fences! She's a point and shoot type of pony, keen to get on with things and is ideal for a gutsy child to work up through the grades at BS. She will easily do BN and Discovery now and has the scope to do Newcomers and perhaps beyond with the right jockey and ongoing training. Mildred jumps 1m10 for fun, making it look and feel easy, she is forward to her fences and sorts herself out well, equally happy going off a long one or chipping one in to get her to the other side. Mildred jumps equally well cross country. She jumps ditches, water, steps etc and has been placed in hunter trials. She works well on the flat, carries herself in a frame, responds very well to a half halt, if someone wanted to progress in dressage or eventing she likes a rider who knows how to ride with their legs and not just hang on to the reins, otherwise she would be very pleased to just hoon around and jump fences! She will certainly be quick in a jump off! I think she is smart enough and well marked enough to register with CHAPS and would also make a fab Working Hunter pony. Mildred hacks alone and in company, she is bonny and forwards and is happy to lead the way. She is certainly no plod. She stands at the mounting block and waits while you sort your pedals and knitting out. She is good to catch, good for the farrier, great to bath, doesn't even flinch when you pull her mane and clip legs, she loads and travels well and has been good with the all the farm traffic she has seen here. Mildred is a super pony, tons of fun with plenty of character, HOWEVER, she is busy and bold, keen and forwards and therefore is NOT a first pony or for a nervous or inexperienced rider but will give a confident and capable jockey a lot of fun, I would have loved one like her as a teenager! Please call 07888675300 for a chat about her, also look at my FB page, Kerrie Fleming Horses for lots more pics and videos. Mildred is based with me at Rabson Manor, SN4 9QF

😍🐴 AND HERE’S BEBE! 🐴😍 Well this little lady has been here just a couple of weeks and what an improvement in her! She has 3 super paces, a huge walk, a bold, rhythmical trot and a big canter. In the future, with the right rider and training, I really think Bebe will excel in the affiliated dressage field. I’m no expert but I think she would easily do an Elementary test and even perhaps Medium. She’s obviously not working anywhere near this level at the moment but I do think it’s all there to come. Out hacking she is no plod but doesn’t worry at all about her pals spooking and cavorting about and she will let them canter away without getting upset, doesn’t mind if she’s lengths behind them in canter and will happily pull up when you ask. How’s her jumping you ask? Well, she probably won’t be the next Big Star but in her first session today she was genuine and steady, not worried by fillers and made a nice shape. She will be jumping some bigger fences and going xc in the next week. She is a super hunter, has done plenty of days in Ireland proving mannerly. I think Bebe will suit a variety of people. I can imagine her with a slightly more mature lady who wants to progress through the grades at BD, someone who wants to enjoy hacking, sponsored rides and all Riding Club activities and venture out hunting. I think she’s straight enough to show in lightweight cob classes

❤️🌟THE FANTASTIC PHYLLIS! ❤️🌟 This delightful lady is a 16.1 hand, 7yo, grey registered Irish Draught mare. Phyllis is a super looking lady, she has a lovely, kind temperament, three strong, active, rhythmical paces and a scopey jump, making a great shape over a fence. She has exactly the right paces to excel in pure dressage, although not flashy she has a great rhythm, good length of stride, an active hind leg, a small bit of knee action which will show fabulous medium paces as she progresses in her training and she has a very trainable brain. Since being with me, Phyllis has had two dressage outings with consistent results each time. She has had one win and two 3rd placings scoring between 65 and 70% each time. She behaves well in the warm up and in the arena, isn’t spooky and is happy to stand tied to the lorry munching her hay. And then the jump! Phyllis really does make a lovely shape over a fence, she doesn’t worry about any fillers and will try her hardest to get you both to the other side of the fence. As with the dressage, she has a very bright future with the right rider at British Eventing, but at the same time would happily trot round a course of fences for you, with the rider simply steering and holding tight onto the neckstrap in case of a big jump! If you were to dither in front of a fence, she would pop back to trot and jolly you both over. On the cross country she is nicely forwards, but not at all silly, again, happy to trot if asked, jumps water, ditches and hops up and down steps. Out hacking, Phyllis is bonny and forwards but happily trots and canters either in front, in a group or behind without getting silly. She is up for it but not strong or quick and if your pals canter away, she will stay in trot until you ask for canter, you can also pull up back to trot and let your friends canter away without any explosions! On her own she is a bit brighter but still genuine. Like every horse she will have a look at the odd thing but she isn’t spooky, she is used to my little dog rushing in and out of hedges and putting pheasants up everywhere! As with all horses with a good brain, she is better the more you do. On the yard Phyllis is a pleasure to have about, loves a fuss and a cuddle. She is easy to catch, goes out in the field with mares and geldings and happily gets lead in in a big group. She loves a brush and all attention, ties up well on the yard, she loads and travels well, has been good in all the traffic I have seen with her and is okay to clip (I twitch her for the fiddly bits around her ears and the bottom of her legs) Phyllis rides like a big horse, definitely a horse rather than a big pony. With her big paces and super frame she gives you a very powerful feel (but very genuine) rather like an understated GTi, the sort of engine that goes unnoticed at the traffic lights until the rider/driver puts their foot down! Because of this Phyllis would not be suitable for someone who would get unnerved by the feeling of power underneath them. She has not a bad bone in her body and is a very kind mare but she needs a rider who can channel all that fantastic lift and energy in the right direction. She likes a rider who knows how to keep their leg on and ride into a soft, steady, even contact. Phyllis will be absolutely fantastic for a capable, confident rider to do affiliated dressage, she has a lovely way about her that the judges like, she will do BE 90s and 100s with the right rider and all Riding Club activities. I feel that this lovely mare will flourish in a home where someone is keen to build a bond with the horse therefore bringing out the best in her. All of us here at Kerrie Fleming Horses really think a lot of this mare. She has shown a good brain, correct way of going on the flat and over a fence and an all round lovely temperament Phyllis is based with me at Rabson Manor, SN4 9QF, please call 07888675300 for a chat about her.

Just in case anyone is interested (you may not be! 😆) this is how much difference a week can make. First pic was taken a couple of days after Bebe arrived and the next one is from today. Look at the difference in her shape, she doesn’t look quite as much like a cut n shut!!

😍🐴 BEBE UPDATE! 🐴😍 And here is smarty pants Bebe looking tons better after her journey over! She’s putting weight on each day and going better and better. I really do like to give these Irish horses a bit of time if they have dropped a bit of weight on the trip over, it does them so much good just to relax and settle in and do a few sessions on the long reins, it certainly does pay off in the long run. She really does have great paces, a huge swinging walk and a proper strong rhythm in the trot

😍🐴 WONDERFUL PHYLLIS!🐴😍 So, the lovely lady had a few days off while we had all that wintery weather with us being very busy...... and wow, Phyllis is feeling great after her break! I always say that horses are like us, they enjoy a few quiet days every now and again when they have been working hard, unfortunately I don’t always have the time to allow them that and so when a kind of ‘enforced’ break happens it always does them good. Now Phyllis was going well before, well enough to be winning or getting placed each time out and jumping very well... after her break she feels amazing. Happy, relaxed and ready to crack on! A couple of pics of her to remind you and then a Bebe update to follow!
