The 2017 Gathering was very successful, large crowd of spectators, big entries for ALL events and it all went like clockwork, a good contrast of stalls to showcase an array of wares to the visitors. Thanks to all committee and volunteers who gave up so much of their time to help make this happen - without them there would be no Gathering - Slàinte mhòr!
We are delighted to announce that a bottle of GlenWyvis Gin will be awarded to the winner of each section of events at the Gathering tomorrow - for the Scottish Championship Hill Race, the Heavy Events, Senior Dancing, Solo Piping and Individual Cycling. Thanks to GlenWyvis for their generous donation! The distillery team will be at the Gathering in their mobile shop – selling gin, whisky and shares in the distillery. For as little as £250, you could come away from the Gathering part-owner of a single malt whisky distillery! GlenWyvis is the world’s first 100% community-owned distillery. See their website for more information: www.glenwyvis.com
Be part of the procession - March to the field with the band, don't bring the car, it'll save you a couple of pounds that you can then spend at the stalls or in the beer tent.
