facebook.comNever mind the tree lights, Ailsa and Ross have really put a sparkle into my Christmas. There was no sign of snow (because you couldn't see it through the fog!) but without doubt their day was merry and bright. Congratulations guys on your winter wonderland wedding!

On nights like these, I can only dream of days when it is warm enough to want to do this...
Confetti: always a wedding day highlight for me. You can't beat a bit of newly married unadulterated pleasure.
Congratulations to the very lovely Avril and John who braved near gale-force wind conditions to capture the last of the autumn colour on Glasgow Green after their wedding at The Corinthian Club. . The fact that Avril's veil did not sail off into the wind and barely a hair was blown out of place was massive testament to the skills of her hairdresser Jennifer Thomson Hair. As if the couple hadn't had enough of the weather they later strode out into a wet and cold night for photos under the glittering lights of Royal Exchange Square. A perfect end to a perfect day.
If you're going to travel all the way from Kent to get married on the beach on a remote Scottish island who cares if it rains? Personally I can think of nothing more romantic than two people joining their lives together, surrounded by their closest friends and family sheltering them from the elements. Congratulations Anna and Dave! Isle of Jura
The Bake Off may be over for another year but you can feast your eyes on delicious homemade macarons at Emma and Tom's stylish House for an Art Lover wedding: http://www.feelingroovyphotography.com/house-for-an-art-lover-wedding-photos-emma-and-tom/ House for an Art Lover
If within 5 minutes of meeting a couple at a wedding fair you feel like you'd much rather call them friends than clients you know you're going to be onto a winner come their wedding day. I will be in danger of overusing superlatives if I try to describe Amanda and Alexis and the love they so clearly have for each other. Suffice to say that if I was ever given the opportunity to stalk them with my camera for another day I would jump at the chance. Congratulations you lovely pair.
There are few things in life that put a bigger smile on my face than hearing from a couple whose wedding I photographed last year that they are expecting a baby. When I get the chance to go and see them to take photos after their little one has arrived I'm practically beaming from ear to ear. Congratulations Sally and Adam, baby Florence is an absolute delight.
I'm delighted to see Lynn and Paul's wedding that I photographed at Errol Park last year featured on the Scottish Wedding Directory today and I'm super excited to learn that the couple are expecting twins! http://bit.ly/2z5IvIB
On my editing screen tonight, the beautiful Megan and John surrounded by equally beautiful South Lanarkshire countryside.
It's often said that you learn something new every day. At Kelly and Hugh's wedding I learned that people in Scotland called Hugh are also known as Shug. Quite a revelation to me. What I don't know is where on earth the name Shug comes from, but I do know that this particular specimen of Shug and his new wife Kelly know how to get married in style. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Kelly (and yes, that does mean that Kelly is now Mrs Kelly Kelly - another first for me!)
