Nutschullyng New Forest ponies
Description
New Forest Ponies for Sale I am raising/producing New Forest ponies for the show ring, as future childrens ponies, family ponies, competition ponies . . .basically I have come to realise the New Forest pony has the potential to cover all disciplines!
I registered the prefix 'Nutschullyng' ( which comes from the Roman name for Nursling) over 35 years ago when I started breeding riding ponies. It hasn't been used in the equine world for several years. . however I have used it on my small herd of Beef Shorthorn cattle that I have bred more recently so don't be surprised if using a search engine it appears in the bovine world too! The first home bred New Forest foals to carry the prefix are due in 2012.
All the ponies I have on the farm at the moment have been bought in as foals and most are forest bred. Many have been very succesful when shown in hand and now look to have exciting futures as ridden ponies.
I keep them in small herds usually within their age groups where they enjoy life growing and maturing on the water meadows of the River Test and around the farm alongside the cattle and Gloucester old Spot pigs.
Much time is spent to make sure they have a good all round education ( farrier, loading, traffic etc ) as well as their dietary requirements.

Finn (Hollybrooke Huckleberry) with Lisa Murray had a great start to hopefully a busy year ahead with a first place in the Intro B at Sparsholt. He enjoyed being back out but needs to work on his concentration . . .a little distracted by the horse in the next arena in the Prelim 2 but still got 66.8%!
So pleased with Janey's (Aldridge Jane) first outing under saddle. Backed in the autumn by Heidi Whetren, Leanne Lowe has brought her on beautifully and in a decent size class at Sparsholt on Saturday came 3rd in the Intro B with 64%. Lovely comments and with an 8 for her halt! Exciting days ahead.
