A page run by the RNLI lifeguards providing seasonal cover on beaches in Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. This page is run by members of the RNLI lifeguard team operating on the East coast of England.
RNLI Lifeguards cover the beaches of Mablethorpe, Sutton-On- Sea, Ingoldmells, Skegness, Wells, Sheringham East, Sheringham West, East Runton, Cromer East, Cromer West, Mundesley, Sea Palling, Hemsby, Gt Yarmouth, Gorleston, Lowestoft, Southwold North and Southwold South
Posts during the summer season give an insight into the daily role of a lifeguard, from rescues to training sessions. Posts at other times of the year give updates on the lifeguard service.
If you see somebody in trouble by the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

Wednesday the 28th Feb 7pm The RNLI lifeguards will be holding a try-out session at the Embassy swimming pool in Skegness. Come down and see if you have what it takes to be a beach lifeguard this summer!

Meet new people and gain worthwhile experience in a fantastic environment. Volunteer Lifeguard: You can choose to be a Volunteer Lifeguard, with the same responsibilities as an employed Lifeguard. The role requires that you are a qualified lifeguard. Volunteer Lifeguard Support: You'll assist the lifeguards and be part of daily lifeguard operations on the beach. The role requires that you have a valid lifeguard support award.
