The sizes of rooms and the floor they are on vary so it is important that you all agree how you will divvy up the bedrooms and who has which bedroom. Names out of a hat is a popular way of doing it or the person who found the house gets first pick. Our bedrooms are all great but fingers crossed that you get the bedroom you want option you want! Check your deposit is in a deposit protection scheme Finding a house share is a really exciting experience and if you follow these tips then finding a great place to live shouldn’t be too difficult. Deposits cover non-payment of rent and any damage to the property. By law landlords must put your deposit in a government registered scheme. You should get a letter confirming the details of the scheme and how to release your bond at the end of your tenancy. Ask your landlord for a detailed inventory, check that it’s accurate and take pictures of when you move into the house in case you are sent a bill for damage you didn’t do. www.yourplace-sheffield.co.uk
