Egton Horse and Agricultural Show

I shall be at Egton show again on Wednesday with my makes and a lovely selection of felting wools.

The very talented Lynn Jones has kindly done all this lovely embroidery work for my wool felted cushions. Honestly, it was better than Christmas opening the big parcel that arrived today! You will have to wait until Christmas to see what I do with them although I hope to have a few cushions finished to take to Egton show next week.

My little felted Bernese tangled pups have been popular so this year I'm creating more breeds of dogs to hang on your Christmas tree. I know it's summer but I have to make a start now as they take a while to make. If there's a particular breed or type of animal you would like to see, please comment below. Thank you :)

Bernie Bear and Aussie Bear - these little smile makers have just arrived in their new home. Hair from beloved pets, gone but never forgotten created into little keepsakes. First time I have created anything with the hair from an Australian Shepherd. I loved working with all the different colours. I regret I am not taking anymore commissions until autumn.

A weird but true outrageous fact from a National Geographic book I picked up today! I find blue too cold to live with but maybe it's not such a weird fact given that David Bowie lived in his electric blue room waiting for the gift of Sound and Vision!

My Christmas cards this year have travelled far and wide and I would like to thank everyone at home and overseas for helping to raise £270.82 for Bernese Welfare UK from the sale of the cards and the extra pounds and pence you kindly donated. Thanks also for purchasing my crafts, I have added a little extra from my craft sales making a total of £350. I know every penny will be very much appreciated and will help needy Bernese that are less fortunate than our own dogs. So now I am tidying away my crafts so we have a clear dining table for Christmas and hope to find time next year to make all the things I didn't get round to making this year!
