Description
This is the official Facebook page for Jalalia Jaamé Mosque. Through this page you can keep upto date with activities and events happening in our masjid. Jalalia Jaamé Mosque was built in 1979 and opened to the public in early 80’s. The mosque is situated in the heart of central Rochdale in the large Muslim community of Wardleworth.
Jalalia Jaamé Mosque is divided into three areas providing two large prayer rooms and a smaller prayer room which is predominantly used for educational activities for youngsters and other similar activities during the week. Jalalia Jamé Mosque can accommodate up to 1500 worshippers and on the special days of Eid, there is usually a second prayer service to accommodate the needs of the local community.
Since the mosque’s erection, it has become a focal point for the Muslim community in Wardleworth. Over the years, Muslims have used the mosque for events, meetings, lectures, studies and community and educational purposes.
