Wishing a very happy 101st birthday to Dame Vera Lynn from everybody at the Home Front Tea Room. Dame Vera's songs are often to be heard playing through our 1940s radio.

Today at The Home Front Tea Room, Max from Cutology who is one of our lovely fellow King Street traders brought us a mirror. As soon as he showed us the back of it we knew immediately why! Thank you Max, we love it!

Splendid news Chaps! As the saying goes, "plenty of room on top" as The Home Front Tea Room's upstairs room, (known as the 1845 room) is now complete and will be available during busy periods. Offering five additional tables with a village hall atmosphere there will be room for everyone! Why not call in tomorrow and take a look. TTFN 👍🏻

Several of our customers have shown an interest in the history of the Home Front Tea Room building. The first floor of our premises is all that remains of a large grocers store built in Ramsgate in 1807. The rest of the building was demolished to make way for a new McDonald's restaurant. As you can see, the ground floor was originally open access for horse drawn vehicles!

Just a reminder that the Home Front Tea Room in Ramsgate will be closed on Saturday 3rd February 2018. We will be open again on Tuesday 6th February at 10.00 am. Thank you. Cheerio.
