A huge well done to the 500 Langstone Junior School and Langstone Infant School pupils who took part in our Pompey Monster Walk to School challenge. Over the past seven weeks they have stomped to school up to three times a week to keep their school gates clear of cars, improve their fitness and reduce congestion. We're delighted to have secured £140k funding from Arts Council England for a Conan Doyle Collection project http://ow.ly/U9TY30j4B1C
We are one of the first local authorities to be successful in receiving funding from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles to install electric vehicle charge points in residential areas. We were awarded £100k towards the cost of the scheme, which will provide 50 electric vehicle charge points in residential areas that do not benefit from off-street parking. More details to follow...
