Congratulations to Jonathan Davies at Mercedes-Benz of Bridgend on achieving his 'Maintenance Qualification' with the brand. Well done!

We recently held two Bowling Events, East and West, with more than 20 teams taking part. As always with Group Events there was lots of friendly banter and healthy rivalry between the teams. The winning team in the Swansea event was Volkswagen Swansea and the highest scorer was Matt Holt. The winning team in Nantgarw was Volkswagen Bridgend and the highest scorer was Chris John. Thanks all for taking part!

Today is World Kindness Day, do somehting special for someone, tell me about it in the comments below and I will find a fab prize for the best one!

We enjoyed putting some faces to more names recently. Steve joins the team at Volkswagen Swansea as a Sales Executive – he enjoys running and has entered ‘Iron Man’ competitions. Christine is a Host at Mercedes-Benz of Bridgend and she spends her spare time with her grandchildren. Like Steve, Tom also joins the team at Volkswagen Swansea as a Sales Executive – he enjoys socialising and going to the gym. And Darren takes the role of Valet Supervisor at Volkswagen Port Talbot – he enjoys football …. watching rather than playing!! A very warm welcome to you all and best wishes in your new roles.

Last week we came together to celebrate the long service of 18 Sinclair colleagues who joined the company in either 1987 or 1997, so celebrating 20 and 30 years of service. We gave them all a heartfelt thank you and a gift from the Company which was presented by Andy Sinclair. In addition to those pictured below there are 5 more colleagues who we also wanted to recognise but they could not join us on the day of this celebration they are:- Tony Sargent, Philip Stock and Lawrence Mears for 30 years and Shaun Kettle and Gary Punter for 20 years. Congratulations all.

We enjoyed meeting our new colleagues recently. Steve joins the team at TPS, Roxie takes the role of Administrator at Sinclair Finance & Leasing, Debbie is an Accounts Assistant based at Neyland and Dylan is an Apprentice at our Bridgend Bodyshop. We had a great time getting to know you all and wish you well in your new roles.

Last week we held some fabulous cake sales and coffee mornings at our sites for Macmillian, the total raised was £658 which our Company will match to make a great sum of £1316 to be donated to the worthwhile cause. Thank you everyone at VW Newport, Audi Bridgend, VW Cardiff and Gorseinon who organised the events, made cakes and also those who bought cakes and donated to the fundraising
