Good Evening! Just a little reminder for Sewcial Saturday tomorrow from 10am - noon that we are having a little ‘swap shop’ with craft magazines. So if you have any you would like to swap, or ask for a donation for, then please bring them with you and see what others have to tempt you! This is my haul from a rummage around this morning 🙈 This is open to Sewcial group only at this stage, then if it works, we will look at another opportunity to do this for everyone. Here’s another back to basics blanket order I have just completed and loving it all over again! I really enjoy a challenge of something complicated, but doing these last few orders has been great too 😊 spaces still available for orders taken for my blankets as well as Koala comforter.

The half price fabric pile has got bigger since I first put them out and a new fabric delivery tells me there could be more! All of these will have been shown on the page at some point or other, but closer photos can be done if needed for those who would need orders posted. I am in a dilemma as to whether or not Christmas fabrics make an appearance now, or leave them for another week or two!! What do you think, should we let summer try and find it’s way for another week!? 😂

Good Evening! It’s been a little blustery today but the change in temperature has certainly helped me get some jobs done! Just about caught up with all my orders but a couple of deliveries slowed me down.......I got so engrossed in everything that I didn’t even get chance to open the fabric delivery.....! But, here’s a sneak peek a beautiful Tula Pink one which I don’t think I posted when it arrived! 😍 No classes tomorrow so I’m using it as another catch up day and then Sewcial Saturday as normal 😊

Good Evening, I hope you have all had a nice day, despite the weather! We have been a little cold, but not too wet at Ennerdale Show today.....and now look at the weather 🙄😂 We are thrilled to have been awarded a second place on the crochet star blanket I posted yesterday and a third place on the rainbow knitted shawl I entered into Cockermouth Show a weeks ago! Happy all round! We are open as normal from 9am tomorrow and we have crochet catch up group from 10am. Getting down to the last few now before we start on the new CAL 😊

Good Morning, Just a reminder that we are closed today as we are exhibiting at Ennerdale Show. As it is in the middle of no where, I have no mobile signal either so will respond to any messages this evening. Here’s another viewing of Koko the Koala just because he is so cute! Thank you to those who have had faith in me ordering the smaller version before I get a chance to finish off the sample one. I will get on with them this weekend 😊

Here it is in all its rainbow glory! 72” point to point without being stretched out. 100% acrylic, fully washable. I am taking it to Ennerdale Show tomorrow (as long as the weather behaves!) so this is where we will be and the shop is closed for the day. Open as normal on Thursday 😊

Good Evening! I hope you have all had a fantastic bank holiday weekend. I have had some Christmas fabrics arrive, so in order to make way for these, I have this little lot to clear out! My Christmas fabrics don’t go out on the shop floor until the children go back to school, so that gives me a little time to work through this! So, from tomorrow, I will be having a late Summer Sale and a bunch of these fabrics will be on the counter at HALF MARKED PRICE, as always with my fabrics, none can be repeated. So when it’s gone, it’s gone! Open as normal from 9am - 4pm tomorrow, closed Wednesday as we will be at Ennerdale show and normal hours again from Thursday 😊

Good Morning! I have been pattern testing for a wonderful lady in America and this is what I have been doing behind the scenes! A beautiful comforter blanket with a koala! Those who know me, know I love koalas so I just had to do this! The full size, as in the picture, is almost 30” diameter, so more of a blanket for the top of a cot etc. I am working on a much smaller size which will be more like a comforter. Both sizes available to order with me now 😊

Good Afternoon! I hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend weather. Next Saturday at our Sewcial group, we will be doing a little book swap. Craft books and magazines only please! Here’s just some of what is being sorted out! The Sewcial group are welcome to bring along their unwanted craft books and swap with someone else, or if you just want to add to your collection, then make someone an offer. (Please note this is not affiliated with the shop in anyway, other than hosting this) If this works out well, we will arrange a day when we can open it up to everyone to come along and check out what is available. I don’t want to do that just yet until I know how it is going to work out. Just a reminder for our groups that there’s no children allowed. These groups are a relaxing environment for people to craft away from their regular areas which sometimes include children and our groups have always been an opportunity to escape. Thank you 😊

Good Morning! We have the Saturday Sewcial as normal from 10am - noon. There’s still no firm decision on what is happening with this and the potential crochet group, so leave this with me a while longer as I have had other things to sort out first 😊 Just a reminder that we close at 2pm today and will reopen on Tuesday, then weather permitting, we will be closed in Wednesday for Ennerdale Show. If we can help in anyway by taking items you need to one of our events, then please just ask. We have a few items including our fat quarter basket at St Mary’s Church over the bank holiday weekend with some fabulous crafty people including @jewellerybytheredhedgehog and Stitched Up XCX, so pop along and check it out.

Here’s the list of demonstrations for the church craft fair this weekend. Please note the crochet on Monday is me and I was asked to give a demo on Granny Squares which is what I will be doing. I’m not doing a learn to crochet session. These will be coming up in October as many people have asked, I can’t teach it in a half hour demo! 😊

Just a reminder that we will have a bit of a stall at this event this weekend. The shop will be open as normal, but a few of our pieces will be over here too. Call in and check out some wonderfully talented people 😊
