Fantastic weekend for 221 Fd Sqn (EOD). They completed their annual challenge, every year changing the challenge to keep everyone on their toes. The Blanchard challenge is in memory of Spr Will Blanchard who was sadly KIA. This year the challenge was to complete 24 marathons in 24 hrs, but the Squadron went above and beyond and completed 34 marathons between 18 competitors. This event was conducted at Bewlwater. It was great to see Mrs Sue Blanchard and her Sister pay the Squadron a visit a great moral boost for all. Huge thanks to Capt Loughrey and SQMS McGuire for all their hard work over the weekend. We are now already looking forward to next years challenge.
