Sax-playing seal may be the most talented animal we've ever seen

This seal can certainly play a tuna! ** DISCLAIMER ** Firstly, let me apologise for my cringe-worthy subject line. But when you’re presented with a story like this one, you can hardly miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime! If you’re looking for something to help you beat the January Blues, you can look no further. I’ve found a video that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. This super-talented seal treats visitors at the Baikal Seal Aquarium in Russia to a tuna or two on his saxophone. And if that’s not enough, the talented little guy twirls around whilst playing his solo and is also a dab-hand (or should that be dab-flipper?) at painting. I wonder if he’s one to toot his own horn or if he’s more modest? http://metro.co.uk/2016/01/04/sax-playing-seal-may-be-the-most-talented-animal-weve-ever-seen-5599394/ I bet that’s put a smile on your face on this damp and dreary January, right? ‘Cause after all, who DOESN’T love a great animal video? It’s what the internet was made for after all! Enjoy! Oh…and Happy New Year (we can still say that, right?)! There’s plenty of exciting things for you to look forward to in 2016; keep ‘em peeled! Speak soon!

Someone is selling some of the Drummond Puddle on eBay (and it's getting...

Were you puzzled by the puddle? Earlier this week, in a true example of Great British eccentricity, over 547,000 worldwide spent their Wednesday afternoon watching a livestream of a puddle. No, really. #DrummondPuddleWatch followed the trials and tribulations of people in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne as they attempted to cross the *ahem* treacherous body of water. Some people even turned up with surfboards and lilos in a bid to navigate the puddle, and bag their five minutes of fame no doubt. Only in Britain right? But the story gets even stranger when you learn that someone is selling a bottle of water from the puddle on auction site eBay. And people are bidding on it. At the time of writing, there had been 30 bids and the price has risen to £65,900. Since the bids skyrocketed, the seller has pledged to give 90% of the sale price to charity. http://metro.co.uk/2016/01/06/someone-is-selling-a-bottle-of-the-drummond-puddle-on-ebay-and-people-actually-want-it-5605868/ Did you watch the livestream of the #DrummondPuddleWatch this week? Would you bid on water from the puddle? Or do you think this whole story is a bit of a flash in the pan and damp squib? Either way, you can’t deny the tenacity of the creative agency who set up the Periscope to livestream the puddle. It’s a great example of thinking a little differently, and making light of a normal – if not a little inconvenient – situation. After all, we’re used to a little rain here right? You don’t have to film a puddle, and you certainly don’t have to sell out a five-figure sum to purchase a piece of a social media phenomena. But you do need to start thinking a little differently – both personally and professionally. It’s a new year after all; why not start as you mean to go on? Speak soon!
