Description
Established in 1934. Celebrating 85 years of dance in 2019, and family-run for 4 generations. The Constance Moss School was established 83 years ago in 1934 by Connie herself. The legacy of the School has since continued by Principal, Mrs. Denie Robinson, and her daughter, Stephanie who teaches the girls.
Over the years we've had thousands of girls (and even boys at the very beginning!) pass through our doors, and we celebrated an amazing 80 years of CMSOD at our Anniversary reunion in July 2014 with past pupils from through the years.
The girls also, most recently, put on a fantastic Dance Display at the Epstein Theatre in June 2016, photographs of which can be found on our page. Displays have been in held in the Epstein Theatre (also in it's previous names the Crane and the Neptune) as well as the Kirkby Suite and former Notre Dame School Performance Theatre.
In late 2016 we had our Parents' Social Evening, Cafe Morning (for family and friends to watch their little and big girls' classes) and the Girls' Christmas Party - with food, arts & crafts, disco and a visit from Father Christmas where all girls receive a present. It's a lovely way to end the year and is loved by girls right through the School. It is now all systems go in the New Year in preparation for our Medal Examinations in March/April 2017, followed by our Medal Presentation Ceremony in June where girls receive their certificates, medals, trophies and maybe even progress cups for what we hope will be some fantastic results.
For present pupils, we'll be using this page to post reminders about things like Parents' Social Evenings, Cafe Day and the Christmas Party, as well as magic numbers, costume money and prizes!
It's also for prospective pupils. Please invite any friends or people with daughters who are interested in starting. Contact information is in the header but please message or post on the page for us to give you further details.

Happy Monday and Happy September! We’re back on Saturday and can’t wait to hear about your summer holidays and your new schools, year groups and teachers! 🍎 ✏️
Well done to all of our girls and to everyone else receiving their GCSE or A-Level results over the past couple of weeks. We hope that all your hard work was worth it, as we know so many of our girls really put the work in... you probably saw some of our students revising in the side rooms in between classes on Saturdays! If your results weren’t what you wanted, don’t be disheartened. Exams aren’t everything and shouldn’t stop you from pursuing what you’re passionate about. Some of the biggest names in business, technology, etc. didn’t get the grades, or didn’t go to uni, or didn’t make it until much later in life. Everyone’s ‘clock’ is different and what might be someone else’s time now mightn’t be your time yet, but it will be soon if you stick at it! Work hard, put the effort in, and keep doing the things that make you YOU in school, uni or work, in dancing and in all of the other things you love. Being on time, work ethic, effort, body language, energy, attitude, passion, being coachable, doing extra and being prepared require zero talent but make a HUGE difference. Don’t follow what everyone else is doing or think that everyone’s doing better than you because of what they post on social media. Focus on YOU and change the world, girls! ✨ We’ll see you all two weeks today! ♥️
We’re back on Saturday 7th September and so looking forward to seeing our girls again, as well as any new girls that would like to join us for the new school year! We have places available in all five classes for girls aged 2.5+ and there is so much to look forward to in the Autumn term, with lots of new dance routines, steps and exercises plus our Parents’ Social Evening, Family & Friends’ Cafe Day and Girls’ Christmas Party. We’re then so, so excited already for our Display in the Epstein Theatre next May! The girls work so hard in their 1 hour a week classes to turn into the showgirls they are on stage at the Epstein. Don’t miss out - come and give it a go. Have a lovely summer, everyone, and we can’t wait to get back to it in September! ♥️🌟
