We are a small riding school in lincoln, with some wonderful ponies and horses,  we specialise in children and nervous novice riders & pre school children Calder Farm Stables has been established since 2004 and is an approved riding school through the Association of British Riding Schools (ABRS) based on the outskirts of Lincoln city centre.
As part of our ABRS approval we can offer official tests and qualifications in riding and stable management for riders from as young as 5 years old. These tests usually run as part of a week long programme, where training and test preparation is provided during the week ready for the ABRS examiner for the final day.
In 2012-2013 we were the East Midlands region winner for ABRS tests, and the overall winner for  successful pass rates for the tests at  A-E level.
We can cater for all levels of ABRS exams, from the lower level A-E tests, the more advanced 1-10 tests, riding and road safety and initial teaching qualifications. For more information on the ABRS tests, you can contact us or visit the ABRS website at www.abrs-info.org
We currently have 13 horses and ponies ranging from 11hh to 15.3hh, all of different weights and abilities. We pride ourselves with helping nervous and beginner riders, offering a safe and fun riding experience.
We cater for all levels of riders, from complete beginners to more experiences riders wanting to improve their schooling and jumping skills.  We have a 20 x 40m all weather outdoor arena, a selection of show jumps, small cross country course and access to both on and off road hacking.

Our insurance covers children and adults alike. Our insurance now covers children under four years old, providing they can sit in a saddle unaided, although they are always supported by two assistants on the ground. There is no upper age limit, so it's never too late to get in the saddle!
We have a weight limit of 15stone.
All staff are first aid trained and we have the appropriate CRB clearance. We are insured and fully licensed through the local authorities, all documentation is clearly displayed in the office.
